CAN YOU HELP ME?

Adoption/lily.jpg

Lily is an 8 year old female ShitZu.  She is energetic, loving and protective. Lily has been a family dog since she was a puppy.  Now there is a baby in the home and Lily is not so happy about the situation.

Lily has papers, is up to date on all her shots. She needs someone or a couple who can give her the time, love and attention she deserves.  Lily loves to take walks, ride in the car, play with her stuffed babies and snuggle. Please email Donna at takeachance1@comcast.net for more information or if you would like to meet Lily.     Posted July 2010

Adoption/Zopher.jpg

ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON TO ADOPT ME?

Lab Mix; Neutered 3-1/2 yr old male.  Presently resides in Harvard, MA

Smart, loyal and athletic, Zopher loves his people, chasing balls and Frisbees! He knows his all of his basic obedience commands and can even balance a cookie on his nose. He is very trainable!

Zopher is a high energy dog with a very high prey drive so his new home will preferably have a large, fenced yard and a strong owner with the time and desire to work with him to help him learn to balance his natural drive with control. He has chased and bitten small animals and small dogs on several occasions so he must have a home with no small pets and with children at least 13+ in age.

Zopher's owners have taken excellent physical care of him. They just don't have it in them to supervise and lead him properly. They love Zopher and want to be sure he goes to a great forever home!

Please call or email Laura Vilain at 978-317-1335 or
lvilain@hotmail.com if you are interested or know of someone who might be.    Posted July 2010

JACKSON
Adoption/Jackson.jpg

While working at The Animal Hospital of Orleans a stray lab/mix came in that was pregnant.  She had been roaming in Chatham for 2 months.  I was lucky to take her home and on March 25, 2002 she had a litter of 8 puppies.  I kept one, whom I named Ceaser (in the middle).  He died on February 16th 2009 from Lymphoma.  Jackson (second one from right, in back), went to a nice couple, but after a year they moved to the Virgin Islands and could not take him.  I then was able to place him with a nice family who had kids and a cat.  They had him for 7 years and recently had to move into a house that did not take dogs. I took Jackson back in the beginning of April.  He has been great with my 3 Border Collies, although he unfortunately attacked one of my cats, badly injuring him.  This is why I need to find him a home and one without cats.  Jackson is a easy going dog and very laid back.  He loves to go for rides in the car, loves walks in the woods.  He enjoys to be brushed and is no problem for nail trims.  He also loves to be petted and cuddled with, he especially loves belly rubs.  Although he is 8 years old, he has a lot of spunk and personality.  He has some arthritis and discomfort in his back but, I have had him on Glucosamine and Adequan, which I feel has helped a lot.  This will be his fourth home and I only wish he can find the right home to live out his days.  For more info contact Heather Garre at www.tailwaggindogtraining.com

AdoptOlive.jpg

My name is Olive and I am a Beagle mix.  I am a small medium size and have been working on my social skills at my current home.  I also have a lot of allergies that my current human is trying to fix with allery shots.  Because of my allergies I need a special diet that my human sends away for.  I was originally rescued from West Virginia and lived with a couple for three years.  Then the child was born and I was forced to live on the deck, in the yard or my crate.
While my current home is a loving one, I need the right home.  I need someone who understands my Beagle nature, can deal with my allergies and give me a home where I am the only child.  No dogs, no kids.  Please help me.
You can call my human (Kate Hansen) at 508.237.0157 if I am the dog for you. Thanks.
